I have had the opportunity to teach a variety of classes focusing on genetics and evolution. In addition, as part of my continuing education and professional development I participated in the University of Alberta’s Graduate Teaching and Learning Program where my teaching was reviewed by a faculty mentor and two of my peers in the program, the massive open online course (MOOC) An Introduction to Evidence-Based STEM Undergraduate Teaching, a Mentoring Workshop Series offered by the Center for Teaching and Learning at Yale, and a variety pedagogy sessions through the Graduate Teaching and Learning Program, Center for Teaching and Learning and the Biological Sciences Department at the University of Alberta.
